I love to facilitate gatherings where people can bring their best selves to solving problems. I create spaces and moments where people feel heard, seen and energised in a way that only meaningful, authentic connection can bring. It’s part science and part art, and the results are always there in the innovations, ideas and realisations that transpire through the process. It’s magic in fact!

I founded Macaulay Consulting in late 2023 with the intention of bringing excellence in facilitation and co-design to a broader audience, where I can ‘shine light on strengths and solutions for impact’ with my clients. I’ve worked with leaders, teams, organisations and community groups to shift mindsets and create readiness for important change to policies, practices, services and systems.

I am an accomplished health and social sector leader and facilitator, boasting a wealth of experience over two decades in healthcare, people leadership, strategic policy development, service design, operational management, and implementation of complex health and social initiatives. From leading the co-design and implementation of new integrated models of care at Queensland’s Children’s Hospital and Health Services to developing and steering the strategic plan for Queensland’s prevention agency, Health and Wellbeing Queensland, to leading multi-disciplinary teams, I understand the crucial importance of high quality engagement to improve organisational culture, enable change in order to develop better services and systems.

Caroline helped us pave the way for important changes ahead in our health service. Through her facilitation on two major projects, we were able to bring diverse groups onto the same page to build a forward plan. Caroline designed workshops that engaged everyone in the room, and kept us focussed on purpose. With her help, we achieved the results we needed in a really positive way.
